Beverage Market Data Analysis
The Container Recycling Institute (CRI) is pleased to announce that our unique "Beverage Market Data Analysis" (BMDA) is available for your research needs. The BMDA is an effective way to get valuable information not available elsewhere!
What is it?
The Beverage Market Data Analysis provides sales, recycling and wasting data for most beverages and beverage packages sold in the United States—by state, region, or the U.S. as a whole! It is a user-friendly wealth of information derived from industry and government sources, and is easily modifiable. Download a sample here [xls, 400 KB].
We can generate BMDAs for all 50 states, the U.S., seven summarized regions, and various combinations. Written summaries of the specific market or recycling characteristics of the various geographic regions are also available.
Why use the BMDA?
- Get data on beverage and packaging sales for any state & the U.S.
- Determine current & hypothetical levels of recycling or litter reduction
- Establish a baseline before implementation of a recycling policy
- Project revenues and environmental benefits from additional recycling

- market share analysis by beverage, package, and both beverage and package
- user-modifiable spreadsheets with current and hypothetical recycling information
- “unclaimed deposit” estimates are provided for states where new or updated container deposit laws ("bottle bills") are proposed.
