Webinar Information

With the myriad of container deposit and packaging bills introduced every year, keeping up with all of them can be a challenge. This webinar gathers a couple of representatives from states with recently active legislation to discuss the efforts to enact, expand, or repeal container deposit and packaging laws around the country.

Presenters:

Jose Ortiz, Deputy Director of the Recycling Division at CalRecycle, will discuss updates on the Budget Change Proposals and legislation related to deposit and packaging which were proposed to the legislature.

Phillip Sego, Legislative Action and Political Chair at Massachusetts Sierra Club, will provide valuable information on the proposed update to the Bottle Bill in Massachusetts, which has been pending in the state legislature for over 12 years.

Susan Collins, President at CRI, will provide legislative updates for the following states: Vermont, Rhode Island, North Carolina, New York, Hawaii, Minnesota, Iowa, and Indiana.
