The New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling provides statewide leadership on waste reduction, reuse and recycling issues and practices. NYSAR is a resource for legislative, regulatory, industry, management, and educational matters in reduction, reuse and recycling.

The Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency manages the trash recycling systems for Onondaga County, New York, including the City of Syracuse. The Agency helps mobilize the recycling efforts of businesses, schools, residents, and institutions throughout Central New York. Working together, the community has achieved national recognition as a leader in waste reduction and recycling.

The Waste Management Authority and the Source Reduction and Recycling Board form an integrated Agency dedicated to achieving the most environmentally sound solid waste management and resource conservation program for the people of Alameda County. The Agency is committed to achieving a 75% and beyond diversion goal and promoting sustainable consumption and disposal patterns. 

Watermill Express is dedicated to reducing beverage container waste. Their customers bring their own 1-gallon, 3-gallon, or 5-gallon containers to their drive-up stations and refill them with pure drinking water, providing a convenient alternative to bottled water. The containers are used again and again.
