KOR Water Launches the Thirst for Giving™ Program:
Three New Colors for the KOR One Bottle Help Support the Future of Water
Fountain Valley, CA (April 9, 2009) – Hydration innovator KOR Water is unveiling three new colors for the KOR One Hydration Vessel and a new charitable donation program called Thirst for Giving™. Through this program, KOR will donate 1% of annual sales to select non-profits who are doing exceptional work related to the causes that KOR supports: ocean and watershed protection, the global water crisis and container recycling.
“KOR’s mission is to celebrate and protect water,” said KOR founder and CEO Eric Barnes. “The Thirst for Giving™ Program is our way of bringing more awareness to issues that deeply impact the future of water on our planet.”
Starting May 1st, the KOR One Hydration Vessel will be available in four lustrous colors, each one representing a specific water-related cause:
- Blue: Ocean Protection
- Fuchsia: Global Water Crisis
- Green: Watershed Protection
- Orange: Container Recycling
KOR has selected four non-profits for the Thirst for Giving™ program based on the extraordinary work they are doing for the causes KOR supports:
- Ocean Protection: The Algalita Marine Research Foundation
- Global Water Crisis: Blue Planet Run
- Watershed Protection: The Wetlands Initiative
- Container Recycling: Container Recycling Institute

The Thirst for Giving™ program is administered by 1% for the Planet, a non-profit dedicated to building and supporting an alliance of businesses that are financially committed to creating a healthy planet.
