As beverage sales increase, recycling remains flat. The result is that we continually need more resources to meet the growing demands of our consumption-driven, throw-away lifestyle – and more landfill space to dispose of it.
One of the hallmarks of the Container Recycling Institute is our research tracking state by state sales, recycling and wasting data for most beverages and beverage packaging sold in the U.S. We are getting ready to release our 2013 report which includes data covering the past 10 years. Our research has revealed some interesting and pronounced trends over the past decade. We are eager to share our findings with you.
